FLUIDOS Use Case Demonstrations

As part of the preparations for the Year 2 review, FLUIDOS welcomed the reviewing experts on-site to witness firsthand the implementation and impact of the project’s innovative MetaOS across different use cases. These on-site visits provided an opportunity to showcase the practical applications of FLUIDOS technology and its benefits for end users.
November 18: Terraview in Winterthur
The first visit took place in Winterthur, where Terraview presented how FLUIDOS has been integrated into its platform. The demonstration highlighted how FLUIDOS enhances Terraview’s solutions, particularly in improving operational efficiency and delivering tangible benefits to end users in the agricultural sector. The visit underscored FLUIDOS’ role in addressing climate challenges through advanced edge-to-cloud computing.
November 27: Robotnik in Valencia
In Valencia, Robotnik showcased how FLUIDOS is enhancing the performance of their robotics solutions. The demonstration emphasized the role of FLUIDOS in extending battery life and optimizing resource allocation, enabling more efficient and sustainable operations in logistics and manufacturing environments. The reviewing experts witnessed how the technology supports seamless robotics integration into the cloud-edge continuum.

November 29: Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico (RSE) in Milan
The final visit in Milan featured RSE’s use case, demonstrating the implementation of PMUs (Phasor Measurement Units) in the low-voltage distribution grid. The presentation illustrated how FLUIDOS ensures continuous data collection, even in scenarios of network disruptions within the grid. This use case highlighted FLUIDOS’ potential to enhance the resilience and scalability of critical infrastructure.

These visits provided valuable insights into the transformative potential of FLUIDOS technology across diverse domains. Each demonstration showcased the project’s ability to address real-world challenges, contributing to advancements in agriculture, robotics and energy systems.
