Exploring the Computing Continuum: A joint webinar from DECICE and FLUIDOS

We’re excited to share the recording of the recent collaborative webinar between FLUIDOS and DECICE that was hosten online on September 27, 2024.

The recent joint webinar between the two projects provided an in-depth look into the advancements within the computing continuum, focusing on interoperability, digital sovereignty and edge-to-cloud infrastructure. 

Key highlights included a demonstration from DECICE on the use of autonomous drones in emergency response, leveraging edge computing for real-time data processing. FLUIDOS presented its MetaOS technology, emphasising energy-efficient resource sharing and the REAR protocol’s role in optimising resource allocation across the cloud and edge. The session concluded with an overview of FLUIDOS’ Open Call opportunities, inviting industry participation to test FLUIDOS technology in new applications.

This session was designed to inspire developers, researchers, and industry stakeholders with practical examples and strategic perspectives on leveraging edge computing to meet modern demands.
