FLUIDOS showcases revolutionary MetaOS at NexusForum 2024
We are excited to share that FLUIDOS was represented in the NexusForum 2024, by Stefano Galantino from Politecnico di Torino. NexusForum, a renowned event dedicated to building a European edge-cloud ecosystem, was held on September 19-20, 2024, in Brussels, Belgium, gathering industry leaders, policymakers and innovators from across Europe to discuss the future of cloud-edge solutions.
Stefano’s presentation, titled “Open Edge-to-Cloud Continuum with FLUIDOS“, highlighted FLUIDOS’ groundbreaking MetaOS approach that goes beyond traditional computing silos. This innovative system creates a seamless and transparent continuum of resources, enabling dynamic, intent-based deployment and communication across the edge-to-cloud spectrum. FLUIDOS focuses on three core principles:
- Deployment Transparency: Applications are deployed based on intent, where requirements are simply described, and FLUIDOS takes care of allocating them across the continuum, ensuring all constraints are met.
- Communication Transparency: Developers do not need to modify their cloud-based applications to be compatible with FLUIDOS. Communication happens seamlessly, as though the applications are running within a single, unified cluster.
- Resource Transparency: FLUIDOS dismantles the traditional siloed approach by aggregating all available resources into a single, manageable entity, offering unparalleled flexibility and scalability.
NexusForum 2024 provided an excellent platform for Stefano to showcase FLUIDOS’ contributions to the edge-cloud continuum and the project’s vision for the future of transparent and dynamic resource management.
