FLUIDOS at IEEE NOMS 2025: Presenting research on Cloud Continuum Task Scheduling

FLUIDOS is proud to announce that our researchers from Politecnico di Torino will present their latest work at IEEE NOMS 2025, one of the premier international events for network and service management research.
Taking place from May 12-16, 2025, in Honolulu, HI, USA, IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS) brings together experts from academia and industry to discuss the latest advancements in network and service management, including AI-driven solutions, automation and the cloud continuum.
On May 14, researchers from Politecnico di Torino will present their paper “Scheduling Latency-Sensitive Tasks in the Cloud Continuum with Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning”, during Technical Session 07 – Cloud/Fog/Edge Networks. This research introduces an innovative approach to workload scheduling, leveraging Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning to optimize latency-sensitive task execution across cloud and edge environments. Their findings align with FLUIDOS’ mission to enhance distributed computing efficiency and resource allocation in the cloud-edge continuum.
NOMS 2025 is a key platform for researchers, academics and industry professionals interested in the future of network operations, cloud-edge management and AI-driven automation. Attendees will gain valuable insights into emerging trends and real-world applications that shape the evolution of computing infrastructures.
We invite all attendees of IEEE NOMS 2025 to join the session on May 14 to explore how FLUIDOS’ research contributes to more intelligent, adaptive cloud-edge orchestration.
