Dynamic Workload Offloading with 5G: A DEAS project demo using FLUIDOS
As part of the first FLUIDOS Open Call, the DEAS project presents an innovative demo showcasing dynamic workload offloading based on 5G metrics. This demonstration highlights how FLUIDOS enables real-time resource optimization between drones and edge servers, ensuring seamless operations even in fluctuating network conditions.
The demo explores how FLUIDOS’ advanced orchestration tools facilitate intelligent decision-making in workload distribution:
Monitoring the FLUIDOS Dashboard – Providing real-time insights into system operations and peering lifecycle.
Dynamic Offloading Mechanism – Automatically adjusting workloads between edge and drone depending on 5G signal strength.
Smart Resource Allocation – Ensuring minimal disruption and optimal system performance.
Through this experiment, the DEAS project demonstrates how FLUIDOS’ computing framework supports autonomous, adaptive, and efficient workload distribution, paving the way for more resilient cloud-edge applications.
